This is a quick-start guide to getting your Blufi and Beacon devices connected to the Bluzone Cloud.
For in-depth information please refer to the Bluzone Cloud User Guide.
Register for a Bluzone Portal account at Console
Registration gives you access to the Bluzone Portal and API keys for use with REST APIs.
You can setup and configure the following in the Bluzone Portal:
For each project a set of API keys are also generated which can be used for accessing raw Blufi scan data (BLE data) programmatically.
Before provisioning either a Blufi or Beacon device you will need to configure your Wifi Profiles that Blufi devices will be configured with.
To configure one or more Wifi profiles login to the Bluzone Portal, select Wifi Profiles and enter details for the wireless network.
Wi-Fi can work over one of two spectrum bands: 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Before proceeding with configuration please ensure your Wifi configuration uses a 2.4GHz SSID.
Please also ensure that the Wifi network firewall settings don't restrict Blufi connectivity. Blufis use port 443 for the https/wss websocket connection to Bluzone cloud, and port 123 for the NTP protocol (Network time protocol). In some enterprises, wifi access is restricted with mac address filtering. Please make sure your wifi access point is not doing that, or that you whitelist your blufi. |
